Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode Targhib wa Tarhib pada pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak dan implikasinya terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas X MA Putri al-Ishlahuddiny Kediri Lombok Barat tahun pelajaran 2016-2017. Temuan artikel ini menunjukkan, bahwa metode Targhib wa Tarhib adalah metode yang sudah cukup lama dikenal dalam pendidikan Islam akan tetapi masih jarang digunakan. Karena kebanyakan pendidik masa kini menggunakan konsep Barat dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode Targhib wa Tarhib dapat mendorong mengarahkan siswa kepada kebaikan dan menjahui kejahatan serta memotivasi siswa untuk lebih giat lagi dalam belajar. Itu merupakan unsur yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan.
